Location. 51 Buckingham Gate Luxury Suites and Apartments are located in the St James's area of central London, England. The property lies 600 metres from Buckingham Palace, 800 metres from the Houses of Parliament, and two miles from the British Museum. Hotel Features. This seven storey apart hotel is set in three Victorian buildings, built in traditional style in 1894, and features a courtyard with a fountain. The services of a floor butler and a porter are available, and there is also 24 hour room service. The hotel has a dedicated concierge desk on site, complimentary newspapers are on offer in the lobby, and the air conditioned public areas have wireless Internet access (surcharge).
Bistro 51 serves English and French dishes in a contemporary setting, and offers a pre theatre menu. afternoon tea is also served in the courtyard garden. The Library serves a fusion of English and French cooking in a traditional setting, and Quilon serves south Indian specialities. The Bank Westminster and Zander Bar offers a modern menu with a British twist, in a conservatory dining room overlooking the courtyard.

Driving Directions
From London Heathrow Airport (LHR): Distance to 51 Buckingham Gate Luxury Suites and Apartments is 18 miles, approximately 45 minutes' drive.
Getting there. The Heathrow Express train is the quickest way into London. It departs from the airport every 15 minutes, and takes 15 minutes to reach Paddington Station in central London. The journey is non stop and costs 14.50 GBP. From Paddington, take the London Underground Circle Line to St James's Park which is 200 metres from the hotel. Additionally, the airport is on the Piccadilly line of the Underground. Change at South Kensington for St James's Park. The journey to central London takes approximately one hour, and trains depart every 10 minutes. A one day travel pass costs 6.30 GBP, including travel to Heathrow (in zone 6). Black taxis cost approximately 60 GBP to the hotel. Coaches operate to London Victoria and the rest of the UK, and the airport is also served by local buses. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. The London Underground (Tube) and buses are the easiest ways to travel within London. Single tickets are expensive, but an electronic Oyster card offers a cheaper fare. Oyster cards can be purchased from ticket offices for 3 GBP (refundable). Daily or weekly travel passes are the most economical way to travel, and are valid on buses, trams, trains, and DLR, as well as on the Underground.
